Meet Full Abalone beach house

Full Abalone is the perfect beach house. Located on scenic 30-A. It's just a few steps from the brilliant white sand beach, two doors away from a heated pool and miles away from the high-rise condo crowds. With four private bedrooms plus a loft with a walk-out deck, we have room to sleep 12 people comfortably.

Relax in the master suite with a king-sized bed, a large TV and home theater system, and a walk-out porch with a view of the Gulf of Mexico. The roomy bathroom includes a whirlpool tub, a double-sink vanity and a separate shower.

There's another king bedroom on the first floor, a second-floor bedroom with a queen bed and another bedroom with a pair of double bunks. The third-floor loft has a daybed with a trundle that can be two singles or a double. The loft has a spacious walk-out sundeck with views of the Gulf and Oyster Lake.

Where's the beach?

The public beach at Dune Allen is about 100 yards from our front door. Here's a video tour.  
 
A lovely paved biking and jogging trail runs past our house. The 17-mile trail loops around beautiful Oyster Lake and goes all the way to Grayton Beach, Seaside and beyond. 

The shops, restaurants and artists' center at Gulf Place are within easy walking distance, as is the Santa Rosa Beach Club, which has a restaurant overlooking the beach and one of the top-rated golf courses in the area.

We're streaming at Full Abalone

Guests at Full Abalone now have access to Netflix and other streaming services.

Bedroom TVs now have access to Netflix and other streaming services. Streaming devices have been installed on each of the TV in our bedrooms: the master and first floor bedrooms (Amazon Fire), second floor queen bedroom (Apple TV) and the 3rd floor loft (Roku). 

All devices are connected to the Full Abalone Wi-Fi. Just log in with your own account and password - and remember to log out before you leave.

Your can bring your own device and connect it to the easily-accessible HDMI port on the main living room TV.

Preparing for your Dune Allen Beach Vacation

Thank you for choosing Dune Allen Realty for your vacation rental needs. We want your stay at the beautiful Beaches of South Walton to be as relaxing and stress free as possible. Check-in Begins after 4 PM CST:

Check-in is at our office, at which time you will receive your Welcome Packet. Included in this packet are directions to your vacation rental, keys, area maps and other pertinent information. If you arrive early you may call our office and we will be happy to take your cell phone number. We will call you as soon as the property is ready for check-in. We appreciate your understanding that check-in may be delayed for special cleaning and/or maintenance and encourage guests to have alternate plans. If you arrive after our office is closed, your Welcome Packet will be in the lock box located to the left of our office front door. Directions to our office and lock box code are provided with your reservation confirmation.

Check-out is 10 AM CST:

In consideration of arriving guests we ask that you check out promptly. Check-out instructions are located on the back of your Welcome Packet. Please return all keys to our rental office. There is a drop box for the convenience of early departures. Guest departing from keyless entry homes do not need to stop by our office, however, we do ask you call to let us know you have departed.

Housekeeping/Maintenance:

Pre-arrival and post departure cleanings are included in your vacation rental. Additional housekeeping services are available at an additional charge. Your rental is thoroughly inspected prior to your arrival, however, please report any housekeeping or maintenance concerns upon arrival so we can schedule service as soon as possible. If any maintenance concerns or malfunctions occur during your stay, please call our office and we will address the problem right away.

Letters, packages and faxes may be sent to our office for pick up. Please have sender include your name and make sure we have your contact information to notify you of receipt. South Walton's Underwater Museum of Art

Less than a mile offshore at Grayton Beach State Park is a unique underwater sculpture park. Begun in 2018, the park features creations by local and national artists. 

The coordinates for the center sculpture (SWARA Skull) are Latitude N30 18 45.262 Longitude W086 09 33.722.

Fly to the beach!

Full Abalone is served by two nearby airports. At the new Panama City Beach airport (ECP), Southwest Airlines has non-stops from Baltimore, Nashville, Houston and Orlando and Delta has flights from Atlanta and Memphis. The Destin-Ft. Walton Beach Airport (VPS) has flights from Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Memphis and Charlotte.

Nail care

Jade Nails is a friendly family business just down the street Gulf Place. It's a favorite with the women in our group and most of the men. If you're on our beach early in the morning you might find the owner fishing in the surf. They take walk-in business or make an appointment at 850-660-1050.

Truman Show lives on at Seaside

Jim Carrey’s The Truman Show remains one of our favorites not just because it’s funny and entertaining but also because it was filmed near our Florida neighborhood. 

Carrey’s hometown of Seahaven was actually the planned community of Seaside, located on Highway 30A, about six miles east of Full Abalone.  The folks at 30A.com noted this week that many of locations used in the movie are still visible more than 20 years after the film was released. 

The town’s iconic post office has moved to the north side of the village green but the popular Modica Market stayed put and is still bustling every day.

We have opened our beach house to a new group of travelers by listing it on Airbnb. Not everyone who visits the Emerald Coast needs a home for a full week.
